मंदिर निर्माण के लिए यह सबसे लोकप्रिय और टिकाऊ पत्थर माना जाता है। इस पर नक्काशी करना आसान होता है और यह सदियों तक बिना किसी नुकसान के खड़ा रहता है।

Bansi Paharpur Sandstone गुलाबी और लाल रंग का शानदार पत्थर। अयोध्या के राम मंदिर निर्माण में भी इसी पत्थर का उपयोग किया गया है।
Dholpur Sandstone लाल, पीला और क्रीम शेड में आता है। मजबूत पकड़ और बजट-अनुकूल होने के कारण बहुत लोकप्रिय है।
Jodhpur Sandstone गहरे पीले और भूरे रंग का मजबूत पत्थर। बारीक नक्काशी वाली छतरी-मंदिरों के लिए बेहतरीन विकल्प।
