Sandstone products for temples and chhatris

First, temples are our largest work. The shop lists pink sandstone temples, red sandstone temples and stone temples, from a medium garden temple to a 20 x 20 ft multi-dome mandir. Likewise, red chhatris, such as the 6 x 6 ft hand-carved pavilion, sit in the same group. Temple budgets depend on size, carving depth and stone. For that reason, we keep the cost detail in a separate guide. Read our sandstone temple price guide before you compare quotes. If you want to see how we work, browse our past projects. You can also read how we handle orders in other cities. For example, our page for sandstone temple manufacturers in Bhopal explains delivery and fitting for Madhya Pradesh.

Sandstone jali, panels and garden pieces

Jali lets air and light through while it keeps a space private. Our decorative circular pattern jali and the 2 x 3 ft Om jali are two of the most viewed pieces on the shop. We have also added simpler designs for buyers who want a lower budget. Three patterns are now quoted at ₹200 per sq ft:

  • Cross-pattern pink jali: interlocking plus shapes with a raised carved border.
  • Fine geometric lattice: a dense star and diamond grid in light sandstone.
  • Arched floral panel jali: a carved arch with floral edging and a lattice centre.

However, thickness and pattern depth still change the final rate. Our guide to sandstone jali price per sq ft shows how to work out your own cost. If you need a full explanation of how we make jali, read the page on sandstone jali manufacturing in Rajasthan. Besides jali, the shop lists carved sign panels, a welcome panel, an entry gate and an outdoor stone elephant. These suit gates, lawns and house entrances.

How to choose between sandstone products

Start with the job the stone has to do. Then, match it to a category.

  • Privacy with airflow: choose jali. Balconies, staircases and boundary walls are the usual places.
  • Worship at home or in a society: choose a sandstone temple. Size depends on your plot or room.
  • A shaded spot in a garden: choose a chhatri. It works well near a lawn or a farmhouse entrance.
  • A statement at the gate: choose a carved panel or an entry gate.
  • Light and decoration: choose a garden lamp, a stone animal or a fountain.

Also, if your project is structural, such as a heavy railing or a freestanding wall, ask your architect to confirm the thickness. Do not choose a product on price alone.

Which stone suits which sandstone products?

Most of our work uses pink or red sandstone. Because the stone changes the colour of the finished piece, look at a sample before you decide.

Stone Look Common use
Pink sandstone (Bansi Paharpur) Soft pink, even tone Temples, jali, panels
Red sandstone Deeper red, warm Chhatris, gates, garden pieces
White or beige sandstone Light, neutral Interiors, cladding, fine carving

Bansi Paharpur stone is quarried in Bharatpur district, while Dholpur supplies red, white and beige. Our Bansi Paharpur sandstone guide explains the colours and the quality checks in detail. Meanwhile, stone supply can change, so ask us about the current stock.

How to order from our workshop

Ordering is simple. In most cases, buyers follow these steps.

  1. Send your need. Share the product, size, use and delivery city on WhatsApp or by phone.
  2. Pick stone and design. Tell us pink, red or white, and send a reference photo if you have one.
  3. Read the written quote. It should list the rate, thickness, quantity, packing, transport and GST separately.
  4. Approve the design. Cutting and carving start only after you confirm.
  5. Receive and inspect. Check every piece against the packing list before the driver leaves.

Frequently asked questions about sandstone products

What sandstone products do you make?

We make sandstone temples, chhatris, jali, wall and sign panels, garden lamps, stone animals, fountains and entry gates. We also carve custom pieces from a sketch or a photo.

What is the cheapest product in your range?

Simple jali designs are the lowest-priced items, at ₹200 per sq ft. Small garden pieces, such as the outdoor stone elephant, come next. After that, temples and chhatris cost more because of their size and carving.

Can I order custom sandstone products?

Yes. Send a sketch, a photo or the dimensions. We will tell you whether the design works in stone and quote it. However, complex carving takes longer and costs more.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes. We ship from Dausa, Rajasthan, to cities across India. Freight depends on weight and distance, so ask for it as a separate line in the quote.

Is GST included in the listed prices?

Not always. Ask for the rate, the GST percentage and the total in writing. Our GST number is 08HRCPS3127N1Z8.
